This comprehensive, quality course will teach you all you need to know about running an equine facility or service. You will learn how to care for horses, manage equine events, and run a successful equine farm. To obtain this certificate you must satisfactorily complete all set tasks and assessments of fifteen (15) core modules. Note that each module in the Certificate is a short course in its own right, and may be studied separately.
What will you achieve from this course?
After completing an Associate Diploma in Equine Studies you will have the knowledge necessary to manage the day-to-day requirements of a horse at grass or at a stable. You will be able to manage their condition, understand their behaviour, plan breeding programs, understand animal anatomy and physiology and recognise and treat common diseases and wounds in horses. You will be better able to choose the best feed, manage a farm and manage pastures.
