Build the backbone of your career with Biochemistry! This informative course focuses on the important building blocks of life such as: amino acids, proteins, sugars, polysaccharides, lipids, enzymes, vitamins, hormones, RNA and DNA.  There is an emphasis on biochemical molecules which will help prepare you for Biochemistry III (Biochemical Processes).  It is suggested that prior to commencing this course you have studied Plant or Animal Biochemistry (I) or equivalent.

What will you achieve from this course?

After completing Biochemistry of Plant and Animals (II) you will understand the different groups and characteristics of a range of biochemical molecules.  You will have knowledge of the common protein dynamics including folding, structural evolution and haemoglobin function, the composition and structure of both lipids and membranes and much more!
