Course info

This course teaches you to manage the health and condition of horses in different situations. You will learn to appropriately address problems relating to poor condition and ill health as well as what factors can stress a horse and increase susceptibility to problems.  The course has been designed to complement Horse Care I and Horse Care II but can be studied as a “stand alone” subject.

What will you achieve from this course?

After completing Horse Care Advanced (III) you will have the knowledge necessary to choose the correct protective equipment for your horse, determine procedures required to maintain a horse’s health, create a plan for your horse while it is away from its home and develop plans to manage horse industry events.  You will also be better able to analyse the management of a horse enterprise including its marketing and financial viability.
