This course follows on from Horse Care (I) and covers feeding, hoof care, tack, bedding, conditioning and stabling. While this course is relevant to horses at grass, it does focus heavily upon care of the stabled horse. Horse Care Intermediate (II) is a stand-alone course and may be taken without Horse Care (I).
What will you achieve from this course?
During your completion of Horse Care Intermediate (II) you will strive to achieve an understanding of the feeding requirements for horses, stable management programs for them as well as obtain knowledge on hoof care, conditioning and the design and applications of facilities used in the horse industry.
