This course covers all you need to know to effectively and efficiently service computers. Whether you already work in the computer industry or simply want to know how to solve your own computer problems, this course covers everything from hardware components to software maintenance and you will be getting computers running in top condition in no time!
To attain a Proficiency Award in Computer Servicing you need to complete 3 core modules as well as have 200 hours relevant work experience or complete a workplace project.

Work Experience/Workplace Project
If you work in the Information Technology industry (as a technician, trainee technician or in some form of tech support); you may submit a reference from your employer in an effort to satisfy the workplace project requirement on the basis of recognition for prior learning achieved through your current and past work experience.
If you do not work in the Information Technology industry, you will need to undertake a 200 hour workplace project, or two 100 hour projects. The project is based on applications in the workplace and specifically aims to provide you with the opportunity to apply and integrate skills and knowledge developed through various areas of this course. You will design this project in consultation with a tutor to involve industry based activities in the area of specialized study which you select to follow.
