Through the combination of theory and practical training, this course provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills required to safely operate an Elevated Work Platform. Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is moving to a new learning and assessment system for certificates to work in prescribed occupations. This unit covers the functions required to operate boom type elevating work platforms (boom length 11 metres or more) to meet minimum training and assessment standards for the purposes of certification.

Minimum age 18 years
Must wear covered footwear (work boots)
No prior experience necessary
The participant needs to be able to work at heights and perform physical tasks

•    Assess and secure equipment and work area
•    Operate elevating work platform
•    Set up and dismantle elevating work platform
•    Positioning and setting up platforms
•    Conducting work activities from elevated platforms
•    Carrying out operator maintenance
•    Conducting housekeeping activities

At the completion of the course you will receive a Workplace Health & Safety Ticket and a Statement of Attainment that is a nationally recognised qualification for this machine.
