This course is designed for individuals seeking training and certification in the operation of a grader. Students will acquire the skills necessary to operate a grader to the competency standards required by WH&S.
Course Pre-requisites
Minimum age 18 years
Must wear covered footwear (work boots)
No prior experience necessary
Lessons:
- Duty of care
- Safety video
- Notifiable accidents
- Types of machinery
- Hazards and hazards control
- Pre-start and post-start checklists
- Calculate areas and weights
- Inspect chains, webbing and wire rope slings and
calculate SWL loads
- PPE
- A demonstration on LOG BOOK entries
- Practical and theory assessments

Training may also be conducted at your workplace by arrangement.
Recognition Status of this Course:
On successful completion students will receive a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of 30496QLD in Load shifting competence from an Accredited National Training Package.
It is a WH&S Requirement that students have LOG BOOK HOURS operating the machine in a work environment. Student must be deemed competent and ready to be assessed as verified by their supervisor on the job before the student can sit for their last practical assessment.
