Course info
This unit involves planning the work for the prevailing working conditions, using the controls and operating systems to manage the operation of the equipment, locating the load and identifying the load characteristics, safely moving the load, monitoring the controls and stopping, shutting down and securing the equipment after the completion of operations.
Course Pre-requisites
Minimum age 18 years
Students must bring photo ID to the course (such as a drivers license, 18+ card or passport)

- Workplace Health & Safety Legislation
- Inspect chains, webbing and wire rope slings and calculate SWL loads
- Notifiable accidents
- Hazards and hazards control
- Types of machinery and their applications
- PPE
- Pre start and post start checklists
- Whistle controls
- Calculate areas and weights
- Practical and theory assessments

Recognition Status of this Course:
