Course info
Rigging is work involving the use of mechanical load shifting equipment and associated gear to move, place or secure a load including plant, equipment or members of a building or structure and to ensure the stability of those members and the setting-up and dismantling of cranes and hoists.
Course Pre-requisites
Minimum age 18 years
Must wear covered footwear (work boots)
Must be the holder a current certificate in Intermediate Rigger
Lessons:
- Plan and prepare operation of work associated with advance rigging
- Assessment and control, in the correct priority, of all occupational health and safety issues associated with advance rigging and associated equipment
- Understanding all relevant obligations, requirements and responsibilities as well as concept of a duty of care associated equipment
- Inspection and appropriate repair and alteration of lifting gear and personal protective equipment
- Performance of works associated with advance rigging in accordance with all relevant standards, legislative requirements and industry codes of practices pertinent to the area of works
- Movement of plant and equipment necessary to perform advance rigging work/steel erection/dual lifts
