This course is designed to provide students with the structured training component that, in conjunction with sufficient verifiable practical experience, will prepare students for assessment in the prescribed occupation of Advanced Scaffolding. This unit of competency covers the functions required to erect advanced scaffolding to meet the minimum training and assessment standards for the purposes of certification.
Course Pre-requisites
Minimum age 18 years
Must wear covered footwear (work boots)
The participant needs to be able to work at heights and perform physical tasks
Lessons:
- Prefabricated scaffolds
- Tube and coupler scaffolds including tube and coupler covered ways and gantries
- Scaffold associated with perimeter safety screens and shutters
- Cantilevered hoists; ropes; gin wheels
- Safety nets and static lines
- Bracket scaffolds (tank and formwork)
- Cantilevered crane loading platforms
- Barrow ramps and sloping platforms
- Mast climbers; Hung scaffolds, including hanging from tubes, wire ropes and chains
- Suspended scaffolds

Recognition Status of this Course:
At the completion of the course you will receive a Workplace Health & Safety Ticket and a Statement of Attainment that is a nationally recognised qualification
