There are many different types of mushrooms. To understand the culture of one, gives you a head start on understanding others. This course focuses on the most widely cultivated mushrooms. If your interests are wider than this, all is not lost as the course also provides a valuable introduction to a much wider range of mushrooms and can be used as a starting point for growing any of these as well.
What will you achieve from this course?
After completing Mushroom Production you will be able to classify different varieties of fungi which are commonly eaten as well as determine the techniques used in the culture of edible mushrooms. You will have knowledge of the harvesting and post-harvest treatment of a mushroom crop as well as be better able to successfully market mushrooms!
