This comprehensive and interesting Human Nutrition course is designed primarily for people who already have some related qualifications or experience and seek to supplement their existing skills and gain an industry specific qualification that enhances their employability and capacity to work.
To obtain a Proficiency Award in Nutrition you must complete 3 core modules, as well as an approved workplace project or work experience equal to 200 hours duration. Each module is a short course in its own right and may be studied separately.

- Advanced Human Nutrition (III)
Work Experience/Workplace Project
If you work in the Nutrition industry you may submit a reference from your employer in an effort to satisfy the workplace project requirement on the basis of recognition for prior learning achieved through your current and past work experience. Alternatively, you may satisfy it through a research project or providing proof of attendance at industry meetings such as conferences and trade shows.
If you do not work in the Nutrition industry, you will need to undertake a 200 hour workplace project, or two 100 hour projects. The project is based on applications in the workplace and specifically aims to provide you with the opportunity to apply and integrate skills and knowledge developed through various areas of this course. You will design this project in consultation with a tutor to involve industry based activities in the area of specialized study which you select to follow.
