Healthy eating makes a healthy body and mind and this course teaches you how to develop a well balanced diet. Topics covered include how cooking and food processing affect nutrition, recommended nutrient intakes, assessing nutritional needs, planning a balanced diet, timing of meals and needs for special people/groups.

After completing Understanding Human Nutrition (II) you will have the knowledge necessary to plain in detail an appropriate seven day diet plan for an “average” adult. You will understand how to plan diets to achieve different, specific purposes, manage dietary requirements of vitamins and minerals and much more!
